Passage: Revelation 21:1-8

Through parables of the mustard seed and hidden treasure, Jesus shows that God’s reign grows quietly in repentant hearts even amid worldly chaos. The kingdom of God was brought to us in Christ’s death and resurrection, when His reign began. John’s vision of the new heavens and the new earth gives us hope that the kingdom will one day be fully revealed when Christ returns. We pray “Thy kingdom come” in confident expectation that Christ’s reign has begun, His Spirit has planted the seed of His kingdom in our hearts, and it is growing as we anxiously await His return.
