One of the most well-know idols of the world, greed is an idol that often times sneaks into our life and overcomes our mindset, perspective and desire before we even realize it. In reality, it is an idol that often comes from another struggle of idolatry – the idol of security. We believe that getting more and more and more will make us safer. But, as with all idols, looking to the created for that which only the Creator can provide, will leave us broken and burdened, when Christ has redeemed us to be free in His grace and truth.
