Passage: Luke 22:14-22

The institution of the Lord’s Supper in Luke’s Gospel, is the epitome of the great, eternal, feast that will happen in the Day of the Resurrection. Jesus has gathered His disciples, one of whom will betray Him, one who will deny Him publicly three times, and many who will abandon Him, all in the coming hours. Yet, in this final meal with His disciples, Jesus promises them forgiveness in His very own body and blood, uniting them in an eternal bond, through Him. So it is for us, as we gather at the Lord’s Supper too. We are united together, each with our own sin and brokenness, through the very body and blood of Christ for the forgiveness of our sins, today, and throughout eternity!
