U.S. Hunger

An Easy Impact

Providing Hope

It’s about more than just filling the belly of a hungry child or their family, it’s about what happens next. Volunteers are empowered to make a tangible difference and change a story in their own community or across the world.

Missional Mindset

At Peace, we are the pivotal point of transformation in our community as we proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, and move the mission forward! Serving is one of the most rewarding things we can do with our time. Through our Mission:Serve opportunities, we, as disciples of Jesus can come together, and make a huge impact in our community.

Staying Local

Did you know that more than 1 in 6 households in Texas are facing food insecurity? We believe in supporting our local community through this food packing event. That’s why 80% of the meals packed on February 22, 2025 will stay local to the Dallas-Fort Worth Area.

Why did we pick U.S. Hunger?

We picked U.S. Hunger for two reasons:

  • US Hunger allows us to choose where we want to send our food.
  • US Hunger welcomes kids of all ages so this can truly be a family friendly event.
Why are we doing a food packing event?

To make a huge impact in our local community, to fight against hunger, to join the village to make a change, and to serve together, as a community, for the community and world. Will you consider joining us in providing meals and hope to those who need it most?

Where is the food going?

Right now, the exact locations are still to be determined. However, U.S. Hunger allows us to decide where we would like the food to go. With 80% of the meals staying local to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan area, and 20% going to South Sudan or Liberia we know that making a huge impact in our local community is tangible with this partnership with U.S. Hunger.

What goes in each meal?

Meals are made up of red lentils, long grain white rice, dehydrated vegetables and pink himalayan salt. Simple as that!

How much does each meal cost?

Each meal costs just $2.50 to package and deliver.
