Passage: Psalms 116:1-9

This night ends in our Savior’s betrayal at the hands of one who followed Him for three years, one who gathered one of the twelve baskets after He fed the 5,000, one who saw Him walk on water and calm the seas, one who witnessed the signs and wonders of the true Son of God, Creator of all things. Judas was a disciple, like you and me. It’s easy to dismiss him, knowing where his story ends, but he sat at the feet of God the Son and learned from Him for three years. In the face of human sin and depravity, our Savior remained faithful even unto death, and even before that, He established a new covenant in His body and blood. We “take the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord,” with full assurance that He will keep His promises, that in His body and blood we receive salvation and redemption.
