Addictions are rampant in our society today. Many of them are seemingly innocent – caffeine, TV, social media – but they all deceive and betray us. Our call, as disciples of Jesus, is not to rely on the things of this life for our value, our sustenance, our strength, but to solely rely on the one who created all things for our good, God our Father, Savior and Guide. In this week, we dive into the chains that addictions in our lives bring, and how we have been set free in Jesus Christ death and resurrection.
