Passage: Mark 6:30-44
In the midst of life’s pressures, Jesus feels our overwhelm and extends rest. Mark records: “He went ashore and saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them,” even after a tiring day. On All Saints’ Day we recall that we stand with that “great multitude” of believers who have placed their hope in Christ. Those saints are described in the book of Revelation as the Lamb’s flock – served by Him, led to living water, and comforted. In other words, our Shepherd calms our chaotic world and shares a rest only He can offer with His weary people, assuring us we are not alone in our struggles but united with all the saints in Christ’s peace.
