Several events took place during the first 30 years of the Reformation that would define the course of the 100 years that followed, and the aftershocks of that time period are still being felt today in religion, politics, and education. Over the next seven weeks, we will look at the politics and theology that drove change throughout Europe and, in time, the world. We’ll seek to understand the punk disciples of arguably the most consequential and turbulent time in the Church’s history – men and women who stood up to authority for the sake of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In doing so, we’ll discuss just how often history turned on a dime and how easily it might have turned the other way. Never Mind the Pope, Here’s the Reformers!
