Meet the Team

Sueda Luttrell

Organist

Sueda has been a part of our staff since October, 2024.

Sueda Luttrell is a native of Lufkin, Texas, and received the Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Organ Performance from Baylor University. In addition to her studies with Dr. Joyce Jones while at Baylor, Sueda continued her organ training at the post graduate level with Dr. Frank Speller at the University of Texas in Austin and Dr. Al Travis at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth.

Her heart’s passion and career as a church musician spans over 50 years, first playing organ and piano for church services as a high school student. Organ positions at churches in Lufkin, Waco, and Ft. Worth, Texas, as well as Smyrna and Marietta, Georgia, included tenures in the Disciples of Christ, Lutheran, Baptist and Anglican traditions. She “retired” from her most recent position as Organist/Music Associate at Gambrell Street Baptist Church in Fort Worth in 2023.

Sueda’s years of work as a church musician also led to active involvement in the field of handbells, teaching and performing as a handbell soloist at the local, state and national levels. She served on the board of Handbell Musicians of America (HMA), Area 4 while living in Georgia as well as Greater Dallas Handbell Association and HMA, Area 9 (Texas and Oklahoma).

She is currently Secretary for the Fort Worth Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (FWAGO) and Registrar for the FWAGO Regional Convention in 2025.

Sueda resides in Ft. Worth with her husband, (Dr.) Jeff, an L.D. Bell High School graduate, who recently retired from Bell Textron as a mechanical engineer, specializing in Environmental Control Systems. The Luttrells are extremely proud of their two daughters and their families. Meredith Hord and her husband, also Jeff, reside in Iowa. Meredith is a tenured professor on the biology faculty at Drake University in Des Moines, while Jeff is a Staff Scientist at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Grace Alotto and her husband Michael reside in the Keller area. Grace is a 6th grade science teacher at River Trails Elementary in Hurst while Michael works at Fidelity Investments. Most importantly, they are the parents of the beautiful and amazing Savannah, a student at Red Apple School of Peace.
