Meet the Team

Marie Rogers

Pianist

Marie has been a part of our staff since March, 2024.

Marie has a bachelor’s degree in Music Education with an emphasis in voice and choral conducting and piano performance from the University of Texas at Arlington where she attended on a full piano scholarship.

She has enjoyed a 26-year career as a music educator at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Her elementary choirs performed the National Anthem for the Texas Rangers and were selected twice from a live audition. Under her direction her choirs have earned multiple Sweepstakes awards at UIL, Best in Class and Grand Champion awards at area festivals.

Marie played her first church service at age 15 and has continued to use her talent for God’s people. She is now an active collaborative pianist and has performed at TMEA, SWACDA and TCDA. She also accompanied the Great American Choral Festival in Firenze Italy. The most meaningful and memorable performance was when she was honored to play the memorial service at the Meyerson for the Dallas Police officers who were slain in 2015. Presidents Obama, Bush and VP Biden were in attendance.

As a vocalist, Marie’s most fun performance was at the Texas Rangers singing the national anthem. Marie sings with Dallas Symphony Chorus and performs at the Meyerson frequently throughout the year.

Marie is married to her high school sweetheart Mark Rogers. They have two beautiful daughters Diana and Samantha and four beautiful grandchildren Hannah, Calvin, Catherine and Camille.
