Bite Your Tongue

Proverbs 17:27-18:9

The world is not lacking in opinions, comments, or any kind of content. And too often, as the Church we speak much faster than we sit back and listen. Yet, as we listen, we draw those speaking to us in a conversation, and we offer an invitation to relationship. Biting our tongue, slowing down our speech allows us to learn about the other, to learn how we can truly love them, and truly meet them where they might be and where they may be struggling to find our Savior.

Series Information

We live in a fast-moving culture and society where things change so fast that we often lose the wisdom of the past, and rarely have time to learn from those who have gone before us. As we look at the world that lies ahead, and the ministry of the Church, this series will help us reach back into the truth of God’s Word and the wisdom provided, the wisdom of the Elders, to help us wisely carry out our purpose as disciples of Jesus Christ in our daily lives.
