THE THEME!
The apostle Paul asks, even pleads with Philemon that he would treat the man Onesimus with respect, dignity and Christian love regardless of the fact that Onesimus was Philemon’s slave and worth nothing in the eyes of the world. We don’t know how things worked out for Philemon and Onesimus Paul never wrote “Philemon Part II.”
Everyday God asks us to work with one another, to love each other and to respect and care for our family. Paul teaches us through this letter that love requires us to work together even when things aren’t perfect in our home and in our church.
Expect to be challenged by God’s Word this weekend as we learn together how to work as a team, a family in Christ.
