A men’s weekend on Lake Whitney with only about 30 men has evolved over the years to as many as 230 men.
What began originally on Friday through Worship on Sunday morning now will see 75 men in camp by Wednesday evening.

What began just about fishing will include many fishing, a good size group golfing, probably a dozen men who stay in camp and just enjoy all the cooking, and others cruising the countryside on their motorcycles.

What has always been the same is the fellowship between men, and everything builds toward worship on Sunday. I always promise three things:

1.) There will be plenty of fish for the fish fry.
2.) The friendships with other men that you make or renew will continue to be significant for you.
3.) You will leave spiritually refreshed after the worship on Sunday morning.

If it will be your first year or your 31st year, I hope to see you at Richland-Chambers Reservoir (for the third year) on April 29-May 1. Registration has begun. You register online by clicking the link below or stopping by the display table in the Foyer across from the Prayer Chapel.

Attention Men’s Retreat participants: as you may have heard by now, with Easter Sunday falling the week before the Men’s Retreat weekend this year, we will not be able to have our normal pre-retreat meeting on that Easter Sunday afternoon like we have in the past. Therefore, it is important to register as soon as you possibly can so that your retreat package can be put together and distributed to you prior to April 24tth , which is Easter Sunday.  You can register on-line or come by the registration table in the foyer across from the Prayer Chapel. We hope to see you there.

Just as in year’s past, there may those who would like to attend the Men’s Retreat, but for various financial or employment reasons chose not to attend this weekend.  The Men’s Retreat Committee has made arrangements with several sponsors to help pay the costs for those men who cannot otherwise afford to attend; including the Wednesday and Thursday night meals if they can go down early.  If you know of an individual or individuals in this case, please contact one of the pastors at Peace and they will make sure this person gets registered to attend and participate just like any other.

100 fish is just a normal outing
for these seasoned veterans.
