Volunteer Today for our May 20 Work Day to help the community of Canton, TX in the aftermath of the tornadoes.

You are invited to join a group of Christian people and/or other Lutheran churches to help the people affected by the recent tornados in Canton, TX. We are having a work day Saturday, May 20. Please consider showing God’s love by assisting those who were impacted by this disaster. The work will range from Chain Saw work (for certified LERT members) to debris removal to assisting residence with other needs. You do not have to be LERT (Lutheran Early Response Trainees) trained to participate.

If you are so led to help, but are unable to attend the May 20th workday, volunteers are needed daily. All that is needed is to be at the grounds by 8 am when they open and you will be assigned to a team. The location is the Van Zandt Fairgrounds on Hwy 64 just East of Hwy 17.

Whichever day you decide to volunteer, please bring gloves, heavy shoes or boots, sunscreen, bug spray, a wide brimmed hat, yard tools, and water, in case it’s not provided, and arrive by 8 am.
