This
ministry provides Christian care to our Peace family who find themselves
experiencing special changes and events in their lives, such as the
birth of a child, an accident, illness, job loss, or the death of a
loved one. Whatever the joy, sorrow, loss may be, please contact the
Christian Care Coordinator, in the church office.
If you would like to become a part of any one of these ministries,
please contact
Joyce Runge by phone (817) 485-0016 or email
j.n.runge@charter.net. We always need another caring heart and set of
helping hands.
There are no specific requirements to be part of this ministry other
than the joy and commitment for loving and serving your family members
in the name of and to the glory of God.
If you or someone in Peace congregation might benefit from the care and
encouragement provided by the Christian Care Ministry, special cards
entitled Care/Prayer Concerns may be found in the church pews or at the
Information Desks. Please fill one out and drop it in the offering
plate, or turn it in at the church office. You will be contacted by the
Christian Care Coordinator of this Ministry. You may also call the
Christian Care Coordinator in the church office at (817) 284-1677
or send email to Joan Wallace at: joan@peacechurch.org or
peace@peacechurch.org
Funeral Meals
Upon request of the family, meals are provided at the church after a
funeral. Family members and funeral attendees are welcome.
Helping Hands Ministry
This group has many volunteers who sign up to provide meals when it
is most helpful: during times of illness, an accident, the birth of
a child, and times of loss. If a meal or meals would be a welcome
relief during these trying times for your family, please contact the
Christian Care Coordinator, in the church office: (817) 284-1677).
Prayer Chain Ministry
This group supports the weekly prayer requests submitted to the
pastors and staff. This ministry prays for the needs and joys of the
people of our congregation, our community, and our world. A prayer
list is put together by the Christian Care Coordinator, then
forwarded to the Prayer Chain members.
Telephone Ministry
This group keeps in regular contact with and shares God’s love with
members of Peace who are ill or unable to attend worship and study
on a regular basis, offering Christian encouragement and support.
They notify the pastoral staff if specific needs or concerns need
attention. They also pray for all the members they contact.
Visitation Ministry
This area of Christian Care reaches out to those who are
hospitalized, in nursing homes, and others who are shut-in or in any
way unable to attend worship and study on a regular basis. The focus
of this ministry is to listen, be supportive, and encouraging,
sharing a loving Christian concern to those they visit.
Caring Card Ministry
This ministry provides loving Christian care and encouragement to
people at Peace through cards and notes. This is a wonderful way to
let people know their Peace family cares about them and shares in
their time of joy, sorrow, pain, grief, and celebration.
If you or someone you know might benefit from the care and
encouragement provided by the Christian Care Ministry, special cards
entitled, “Care/Prayers Concerns” may be found in the church pews or
at the Information Desk in the foyer. Please fill them out and
drop them in the offering plate or turn them in at the church
office. You will be contacted by Joyce Runge, Coordinator of
this Ministry. You may also call Joyce in the church office at
817/284-1677. If you have an emergency requiring a pastor
after normal office hours or on the weekend, please call the office
number and you will be given recorded instructions on how to reach
Pastor Steve Wiechman.
