“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:27 (NIV)

There have always been many people who believed in Jesus.  During His life here on earth, He gathered large crowds...He still does.  But the crowds thinned when the cost of discipleship was laid before them...but for those who remained there was an incredible life adventure.  By the power of His Spirit, those faithful disciples experienced grace like no other, accessed strength beyond measure and tranformed the world!  We want to experience that same reality and have that same tranformational effect on our world today!  We want to live out our belief that Jesus is not just our Savior but our Lord as well!

Jesus spent directed time with His small band of disciples as He poured not only His words and His teaching into them, but He also poured out His life into them.  Following that example, we take a year with youth and their parents to dedicate ourselves to a deeper understanding of our faith in this Savior Jesus and what it means to be an intentional disciple.  It is a year dedicated to pouring the words, teaching and life of Jesus into them.

Parents begin to make the shift in this year from teachers of the faith to co-sojourners with their children as they proclaim "Jesus Christ is my Savior and Lord" during the confirmation rite.

This year is open to anyone entering the 6th grade and above.

Our goals: to equip all youth...
  • to prepare all youth for continuous spiritual development.
  • to prepare all youth for participation at Peace as an active intentional disciple.
  • to prepare all youth for ethical participation in a non-Christian culture.
  • to prepare all youth to be a missionaries-at-large.
Our goals: To equip all parents/guardians…
  • to grow in their own faith relationship with Jesus.
  • to be a fellow traveler on the journey of faith with their children.
  • to have important faith conversations with their children and create an atmosphere of open faith-conversation dialogue
  •  to become the primary modelers and teachers in order to hand-off the faith in the life of their child, especially approaching this critical age of change.
