Pastor Walter E. Waiser
Senior Pastor
Walt Waiser was "born and raised" in the great State of Texas. He attended seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating in 1975. He has served Peace Lutheran since October 1, 1975. Pastor Waiser married his fifth grade sweetheart, Vonnie, in December 1970. They have two daughters:
Heather, married to Patrick Miller, is a school teacher. Patrick is the Pastor of Water’s Edge Family of Faith Church in Frisco, Texas. They have three children, Hannah, Madilyn and Caleb.
Amber graduated in May 1999 from Stephen F. Austin State University as a Registered Nurse. She works as a School nurse at Smithfield Middle School in North Richland Hills. She married Peter Kahle in May 2000. Peter is a psychologist and has a private practice in Grapevine. They have two daughters, Addison and Caroline.
Pastor Waiser currently chairs the Committee on Prayer and Spiritual Formation in the Texas District. Beginning in September 1994, he continues to lead the annual 48 hour retreat on Prayer and Spirituality for Pastors, this year at Canyon of the Eagles. On February 6 – 8, he lead the third 48 hour retreat for PLI, this time for 60 Pastors in the desert of Scottsdale, Arizona. He has also led this Retreat or shared material from this retreat in the Mid-South, Minnesota South, Missouri, Rocky Mountain and Pacific S. W. districts, as well as for the National Parish Nurse Conference at Concordia University Mequon, Wis.
His other special interests include fishing (anywhere, any time) and photography.
